<NEED SCAN > | Samuel
Fausold with favorite pony Young Samuel Fausold, strong farm worker and student. As a young student of the Bible he often spoke, as when he said, "Two thousand years ago Roman soldiers crucified young Jesus." His brother, Charles, late in life reported that when youngster Sam spoke, "people listened." Sadly, Sam reported that his father shook hands with him only once in his lifetime. Sams father was rigid and frequently critical. Only once did Sam explain, upon being criticized, he had done exactly what his father told him to do. "Father merely walked away," said Sam.
