Dwight Sollberger was a distant relative of Robert Wilson who was an early settler of Allegheny County who emigrated from Ireland. He owned a large tract of land in Indiana Township, near Pittsburgh, Pa.. Wilson's papers remained in the family for several generations before being donated to IUP.
These papers contain the personal correspondence of Robert Wilson, dating from 1816-1842, as well as other documents relating to his land holdings and allegiance to King George.
The Sollberger Collection is housed in one archival box.
