J.K. Stoner Collection

Dr. James Kermit Stoner, 1910-1995, was a professor in IUP's School of Business for 26 years, having first taught in many area High Schools.  He was founder of IUP's Delta Pi Episilon buisness fraternity and also served on the board of directors of Penelec.  He was highly involved in community affairs, holding memberships in the VFW Post 1989, the Kiwanis club (a 50 year member), the Indiana Chapter of the American Red Cross, as well as the Business Advisory Council of IUP.  For over 17 years, Stoner created a weekly column, "Ham With Wry," published in the Indiana Gazette, which were later collected into popular volumes.  In addition, he was the author of 2 high school textbooks in marketing and retailing, numerous articles in professional magazines, and freelance articles in several house publications.
