George L. Sanderson Collection

Colonel George L. Sanderson was the great-grandson of the famous Indian scout, Robert Covenhoven. Sanderson was a renowned businessman in the Williamsport area, where he engaged in a variety of business ventures, serving as President of several companies including the Williamsport National Bank from 1871 until his retirement in 1892.

This collection includes a series of bound volumes containing the correspondence of Colonel George L. Sanderson, dating from 1871 to 1906.
