United States Bureau of Mines Publications

A component of the Department of Energy, the U.S. Bureau of Mines was formed to gather information about the various mining industries in the United States. The U.S. Bureau of Mines Publications contains reports and informational bulletins published by the Bureau between 1919 and 1983. Although the collection's primary focus is on PA, there is a limited amount of material from other coal producing states, including West Virginia and Ohio.
