Archives of the Folklife Division, America's Industrial Heritage Project

The Folklife Division of the Southwestern PA Heritage Preservation Commission was developed by the PA Heritage Affairs Commission in cooperation with the National Park Service and local cultural organizations. Beginning in 1990, the Division worked with local organizations, retired workers, community members, historians, anthropologists, sociologists and folklorists to document and interpret the folklife of the region.

The Folklife Division collection includes the administrative files of the division and the field work materials collected by the division and its documentation centers.
