Albert Pechan Collection

Mr. Albert Pechan, a former Republican State Senator from Ford City, was an avid ally for Indiana State Teacher's College during the nineteen sixties, having served on the College's Board of Trustees for more than two decades. As Senator, Mr. Pechan was instrumental in passage of the bill which turned the small Teachers College into the state university that it is today.

The Albert Pechan Collection contains a small portion of his files during his tenure as Senator. These files include those from the middle and late sixties, and those relating to the creation of IUP.
