Martha Oatman McSparrin Collection

Mrs. Martha Oatman McSparrin graduated from the Indiana Normal School in 1924 and became a schoolteacher. Her husband, Mr. McSparrin, was instrumental in establishing vocational education in western Pennsylvania. Martha's mother, Samantha Leasure Oatman, briefly attended the Indiana Normal School in the 1980's. This collection contains a few personal effects of these three individuals, including several photographs, Martha's graduation and teaching certificates, and an autograph book of Samantha's.
