| The University Archives owns
copies of many of the yearbooks published
in the 130 years since the founding of Indiana Normal School. The
first to appear was the
Clionian published in 1888. The next yearbook owned by the Library is
the Empanada
which appeared in 1897. In 1912, Indiana Normal School began publishing the
Instano. This series was published
until the institution switched from a Normal School to a four-year
college with a broader
curriculum in 1928, changing its name to Indiana State Teachers College and
its yearbook to
the Oak. The Library owns copies of all Indiana yearbooks
published between 1928 and 1996. Below you will find a list of yearbook by title
and date with links to scanned images of
selected publications
(The files require
Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.0 or above and are very large so they may take some
time to download and open.)
