Canela Indians of Northeastern Central Brazil
http://www.mnh.si.edu/anthro/canela/
Based largely on the pioneering research
of Bill Crocker, this site on the Canela Indians of Central Brazil is hosted
by the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History. Designed to educate a
general audience about the life and activities of the Canela, the site
contains numerous sections that allow visitors to explore a world that few
persons will be able to visit.
Classification of Living Things
http://anthro.palomar.edu/animal/animal_1.htm
Dr. Dennis O'Neal of Palomar College designed
this site to introduce students to a tutorial on the Classification of
Living Things. Topics addressed at this site include the Linnaen system of
classification, amount of species in our world, the importance of biological
diversity, the history of classification, and the relevancy of
classification in the present day.
Skeletal Explorer
http://www.mc.maricopa.edu/dept/d10/asb/anthro2003/skeletal/menudir.htm
This well-designed, creative site opens
with an image of a baseball cap-wearing skeleton viewing
skeletal images on a computer screen. The Main Menu
offers a Skeletal Overview and eight more sections
including Crania, Axial Skeleton, Appendicular Skeleton,
and Bone Growth.
